What is a
Prepaid Funeral Plan?
A prepaid funeral plan is a way of ring-fencing money to pay for your funeral. Your money is paid into the Open Prepaid Funerals Trust Fund where it is invested and grows so that its value keeps in sight of the rising cost of funerals. This is an efficient way of funding your future funeral needs.
You personally have no tax to pay on the value of your plan at the time of need. It is protected in important ways. It cannot be raided to pay for your care home fees and it does not count towards probate. Because the trust is not a savings vehicle, money paid into it cannot be taken into account by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) when calculating eligibility for certain benefits.
Any money you pay into a prepaid trust fund can only be used to pay for funeral expenses.Check out the plan
